Flower Power!

So now i have Backyardigans stuck in my head. Having a 3.5 year old i tend to see a lot of Backyardigans Episodes and one is called Flower Power! Now this cake is not a Backyardigans cake but it does have a ton of flowers.

This is a two tiered cake, chocolate w/ cookies and cream, lemon with fruit filling, all covered in vanilla buttercream and fondant. All the flower are edible, they are made out out of gumpaste and fondant.

This cake was a lot of fun to make since the colors were so vibrant!

  1. Brandy, this is a really lovely cake. I'm astounded by the effort you put into it. This is my first visit here and I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed browsing through your earlier entries. I really like the food and recipes you feature here. I'll be back often. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary

  3. I have no idea what Backyardigans are, sounds like a special kind of cardigan for the bakc yard and they combined the words. Like jeggings. But the cake looks gorgeous AND delicious. Wow!
