Hoping Spring will come early

We were invited to a friends house for dinner on Saturday and of course i find any excuse to bake. :D I found the flowers left over from my Wilton Course 2 back from last year. Good thing they were sealed in a tupperware container in the back of the dark cupboard. The nice thing is, they lasted that long and it paid off keeping them.
This is a chocolate cake covered with chocolate buttercream frosting. I whipped it so much it came out to be a mouse like kind of icing. It actually complimented the cake pretty well. All the flowers and birds are made out of Royal Icing.
